FAT Brands’ UPDATE – ALWAYS LOTS OF MOVING PARTS WITH EIGHTEEN BRANDS – TWIN PEAKS IN REGISTRATION WHILE CROWD (PER VIDEO) IN NASHVILLE ENJOYS BOSTON CELTICS’ CLINCHER

Restaurant Finance Monitor

Our channel checks relative to FAT Brands, as well as corporate releases over the last two months, indicate that the Company is making progress as planned, coping as well as can be expected in a still challenging environment. We provide below a summary of corporate releases over the last two months, as we await 2nd quarter operating results and news relative to the planned IPO of Twin Peaks. Probably of most interest to our readers is our brief pictorial report from Twin Peaks in Nashville, TN.

TWIN PEAKS UPDATE

Since  the Twin Peaks brand is FAT Brands’ most valuable “asset”, we took the opportunity to visit their two Twin Peaks’ locations in Nashville, TN on Monday of this week, which turned out to be the deciding game for the Boston Celtics over the Dallas Mavericks. Since Twin Peaks is arguably the most successful chain of Sports Bars in the country, our visit to both Twin Peaks (as well as a Dave & Buster’s, with hardly any viewers) in the course of the game, provided us with anecdotal confirmation of Twin Peaks’ sports’ viewing appeal. Considering that Nashville is a long way from Boston or Dallas, it seemed to us to be a pretty good Monday night crowd, as shown in the very short videos. It’s worth noting that 30-35% of the customers were women. From our previous conversations with operating management of Twin Peaks, special attention to the timing of sporting events is an all-important part of their planning process. Twin Peaks management would probably say that “Show Time” for world class athletes should be mirrored by the staff at Twin Peaks.
